Nanotechnology in medicine

Medicine is a field which would receive the first attention when a new technology in engineering is devised.  It is the same case with nanotechnology too.  While considering the applications of nanotechnology to medicine, it is imperative to think that it would have received great attention considering the tremendous applications of nano level particles to medicine.  Starting from drug delivery to remote level monitoring of physiological processes, nanotechnology is in no way a hindrance to development of medical technologies of present. As was the case with MEMS, nanotechnology too started in medicine with a new drug delivery system for diabetic patients.
